It feels so official to be starting a blog on our new webpage! Holy cow, we have a webpage!! We bought our farm almost 2 years ago to the day and it’s been a wild ride. It’s time I do what I promised long ago and keep you all updated.
We started out with a collapsing farmhouse, 2 collapsing barns, a chicken coop that hadn’t been used for generations, a super cool two-story granary that was so dirty we thought it had dirt floors (it doesn’t) and wonderful little play house that we learned was actually a pigeon coop (who knew!?). Now we have a comfortable home (albeit without air conditioning) and we’ve saved one barn, the granary, chicken coop and pigeon coop. Not bad for a couple of farmers whose farm families skipped a generation.
Truly, we wouldn’t be here without our amazing friends, family and neighbors who’ve been here for us with food when we’re too busy to cook, strong backs when the loads are heavy, tools – glorious tools!, and laughter when we need reminded what the hell we’re doing this for anyway!
Thank You, love to you all and talk to you soon!
Andrea
